About the Dyno
The Dynapack dynamometer is a technologically advanced apparatus that applies a variable but precise hydraulic load via a fixed coupling to the driven wheels of a motor vehicle to simulate road conditions in the workshop.
Dynapack’s unique hydraulic operation allows it to quickly and accurately measure engine and drive line performance with sensitivity capable of measuring headlights being turned on.
The Dynapack is attached directly to the wheel hubs, thereby overcoming all the disadvantages of tire distortion including noise, torque steer, loss of traction, tire heat and variations in tire design and wear. Direct coupling eliminates the need to estimate torque and enables the dynamometer to make very sensitive readings over a very wide range of engine speeds. With no tire roller interface the results are more precise and are repeatable.
Tuning options:
The Dynapack dynamometer offers several different options for tuning fuel and ignition maps. The dyno can be operated in a manner similar to that offered by a conventional roller based dynamometer.
However, the dyno can also be operated at a fixed load with variable engine speed (rpm) or fixed engine speed and variable load. This enables accurate fuel cell mapping even under light loads and part throttle conditions.
dynamometers cannot provide, along with safety, since there are no rollers. We also offer a unique way to pay - 15 minutes at a time - so you only pay for the time you use!
